Jimmy Kimmel Live

My Appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The funny thing with Jimmy Kimmel was that they contacted me two years ago when my "Princess Bride" re-enactment was featured on the front page of YouTube. They almost had me on the show, but I think they didn't know how to take my stuff and turn it into something for the show.

The second time they contacted me, it was just by e-mail. I talked with a producer that worked for the show, and discussed what I could do. We brainstormed over the phone a little, then the producer conferred with everyone on their end, and asked if I'd like to re-enact scenes from the Best Picture nominees. I talked with my manager; she loved the idea. They took care of all the legal stuff, and from that point on, I was literally making them two or three nights before they aired. They also sent me what they call "screeners" of all the films. Considering none of them were out on DVD except for "Michael Clayton," it was awesome that I got to watch "There Will Be Blood" in the comfort of my own home.

The experience was fun and nerve-racking. I was a bit nervous about making an ass out of myself on national TV. Then I realized I already had when Geico used my funny faces video in their commercial, so I felt a little better.

[Appearing on "Kimmel"] certainly opened a lot of doors for me. With the money I earned, I was able to fly to LA for a couple of weeks and signed with Endeavor, one of the Big Five agencies in Hollywood. A lot of agencies had seen me on the show, and wanted to sign with me. It was as if being on TV made something click in their head and want to work with me.
